Listen, her design fits her personality and it’s also very fumny to play with. She’s a gymnast pirouetting in the air and the lighter the better for her (but I love giving her other outfits because she’s a fashion queen like her human💜💜💜).
3. Ranamon , because I love how arrogant and cocky she is, and the concept of her spirit being so tied to emotions control is so interesting, especially when you put it in comparison with Fairymon who does own control, instead. In general, though, I’m also biased since I love water and mermaid-like creatures.
4. Agnimon, I guess..? Especially if you turn him into a girl like my korean friend does. I’m not particularly attached to him, but, you know, his palette is very good. This is funny, however, because a year ago I would have put Wolfmon here.
5 Duskmon, the superior Darkness spirit. I don’t have anything to say. Hit me with a bat if you disagree, but I will still die on the hill I’ve personally dug for myself. He’s a very cool concept and more people should talk about how he is the opposite of Agnimon in design.
6 Chuckmon: He’s a cute fella and many friends of mine loving him made me like him more. Tbh I adore some evolutions of his line. Korikakumon is fascinating as a Beast idea and I enjoy his collaboration with Blitzmon, when he gives him axes to turn him into Thor. I also like his Ancient, one of the few I genuinely appreciate in design. He’s a very peculiar mythical beast with Ghibli vibes and I’m all for it.
7 Mercurymon: He’s cool, guys. He is. If he hadn’t had those freaking lips, he would have been much higher. There’s no doubts. His concept is one of the most complex, if not THE most in the whole series. A freaking Sephirot Tree Digimon in my show? That was such a powerful imagery, especially in the way they used it. Sephirot tree rotates all around the concept of refining men’s attitude to let him get to God. Idk which God those kids saw (Virgin Mary Ophanimon …?), but I’m all for it in how fucked-up it is.
7 Wolfmon. I guess? In this area we are entering the zone of “I don’t care but my task is to put them all here, so-“. I have got nothing to say except that he’s ok and his pants are stylish. That’s it. Strabimon is a cute fella but he could bite him, so he’s a bad dog.
8 Arboromon: In truth, the TGC made me like him more because his Ultimate, whose name I can’t predictably remeber, is pretty sick. I also enjoyed his silly, random pep-talks that passed from Junpei Sensei to him. “Wash your hands before eating!” Thank you, Arboromon, this confirmed me there’s something inside of you.
9 Loweemon: I’m a bit cruel, because his palette intrugues me sometimes, especially when in the background there is the Dark Area. Kaiserleomon also gave me ton of weird inspos for “Rapsodia” because he is a lion and San Marco, Venice’s patron, has got a lion as freaking symbol. Still my issue with Loweemon is that I don’t think we needed to replace Duskmon when the message you wanted to send is, “Darkness isn’t inherently bad”. So my boy Duskmon could also get a redemption…………….. Besides that, I have to admit all the lions Loweemon has got everywhere are so goofy and spoil a design that could have been much better.
10. Grottomon: A heresy since he’s a troll and a ballet I took a lot of inspos from revolves around trolls, BUT I CAN’T HELP IT OK. He’s ugly. They didn’t even give him a troll tail. To me, he’s sincerely the most repulsive Digimon appearing in Frontier. His evolution is even worse? All bulky and naked? He gives me bad vibes. If you like him, I admire you, because you saw in him something I couldn’t see and I need to HUMBLY learn from you * bows and smashes her face against the floor *
