If ever you had a dream,

of partaking in skies largesse.

To soar and twirl betwixt the clouds,

buffeted by wind’s caress.

Then these dreams have caught Fortuna’s sight,

and earned grave recompense.

With turn of wheel her hand is greased,

for gravity lets you slip.

As rise and fall become self-same,

you scramble for a grip,

yet anchorless in sea of sky,

Adrift as unmoored ship.

As speed increases, perspective shifts,

sky a beast that's got you jawed,

and in each passing window a reflection,

where doubles seesaw from shocked to awed.

As fear begins to grasp your heart,

the audience begins to applaud.

For to onlookers the sky’s a tarp,

To you a grave expanse.

Your tumbling flails through the air,

Keep rubberneckers in a trance.

Blessed are you with thousand views,

Through your panic-striken deathdance.

Stalactites to stalagmites,

is every skyscraper to you,

because rapidly repeating rotations,

form kaleidoscopic views.

Although as the time flees from your grasp,

To blurry ground recollection fallthroughs.

At height of seventh heaven,

After plunging through cloud nine,

You’re frigid as hell’s innermost ring,

As from earth you are unconfined.

Hues shift from blue to black,

As your thoughts begin to recline.

Yet among that lampblack quilt of stars,

Your journey continues still.

For so bright is your future now,

Even approached in state of nihil.

With crushing weight and blinding light,

Sun's assimilation takes your form beyond skysill.
