Glazed Churros are a delicious Mexican dessert that are known for having a crispy outside and a soft, doughy inside. If you're craving dessert, these sweet treats are just what you need.
Ingredients: 1 cup water. 1/2 cup unsalted butter. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 3 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Vegetable oil for frying. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/4 cup chocolate chips optional. 1/4 cup dulce de leche optional.
Instructions: Bring water, butter, and salt to a boil in a saucepan. Turn down the heat and add the all-purpose flour. Mix it really well until it comes together in a ball and moves away from the pan's sides. Take it off the heat and let it cool down for a while. Add the eggs one at a time, making sure to mix well after each one. Add vanilla extract and stir. Fry or heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350F 175C. Put the churro dough into a piping bag that has a star tip on the end. Cut 4 to 6 inch strips of dough with scissors and pipe them into the hot oil. It will take about two to three minutes on each side to get golden brown. Put paper towels down to dry. Put granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Roll the churros in the mix to cover them. You can melt the chocolate chips and dulce de leche separately if you want to. Pour over churros to make them taste better. Enjoy while still warm!
