On the way to Chinle, I took this picture from Ram Pasture. From this view, you can see the #Lukachukai mountains & #BlackMesa side by side. One mountain, the Lukachukai/#Chuska mountain ranges to the east are called "Yódí Dził (Hard Goods Mountain), in Navajo ceremonially. He is considered a male mountain, with his head at Chuska Peak (Ch'óshgai) near Tohatchi & his feet at Beautiful Mountain (Dzíłk'í Hózhóonii). The mountain to the west is #Dziłíjiin (Black Mesa) & is considered a female mountain. She has two ceremonial names. One is "Tádídíín Dził (Pollen Mountain)." The other is "Ni'go Asdzáán (Earth Woman)." Her head is at Nats'is'áán (Navajo Mountain) & her feet at Balakai (Báálók'aa'í) Mesa.
