Jacqui blushed slightly as she focused on the skies up ahead, trying to keep her attention off the shirai ryu hottie sitting next to her.
They were off on a mission together, just the two of them. Thanks to the orders of General Blade. Jacqui didn't know if it was her aunt being her usual slick self or if she really thought they were the only two for the job. Either way, she definitely owed her aunt a favor when all this was over.
Finally the specialist allowed herself one peek of her infatuation but immediately regret it. Her whole face lit up like a goddamn Christmas tree and she quickly tore her gaze away. She really wished she could turn invisible right about now...

It felt like one life or death situation.
Her heart was racing as she leapt from platform to platform, holding something valuable to her and Takeda. It nearly cost them a arm and a leg, and yelling of the crowd was growing more louder. “Will you just keep up?”
“I’m trying here.” Takeda shouted, reaching out a hand for Iris to take. Their fingers touched, then she grabbed hold of his wrist, his eyes wide with fear.
“By the gods, they’re too many. I don’t know if we can fight them off!” Iris screeched, pushing off a feral creature with her hands. Takeda gave her a push out of the way as someone tried to steal what they found. “Leave me behind, Iris! Save yourself!” Takeda shouted, pushing Iris out of the entrance as a group of people began to tackle the chujin. Iris could only watch as her friend was swallowed by the people.
