I have to say that even though I don't have Facebook because the Chinese internet bans basically everything, I am so glad I still have my tumblr.
Sometimes I just need a slice of home
This has probably been the first time I have ever been so homesick to the point where I can't even try to be optimistic. I'm trying to see the good in the opportunity I have, but I just want to be back in America. I want to speak English. I want to eat Pizza, Hamburgers, Pasta, Sandwiches, Macaroni, and anything else utterly Western. I'm tired of having to speak over long distances. I want to be back where instead of being 11:26 AM on a Saturday, it is 11:26 PM on a Friday night. This would be the time for late night dinners with my high school friends and maybe a movie. If not that, then chilling with my family or dog as I try to study for genetics or organic chemistry, while they watch a movie I've seen one too many times. I want to be back where I can easily go see movies that I've been waiting all year to see. I want to be with my annoying nephews who know how to irk me in every possible way. And most of all, I want to be back at college with it's late nights, movies nights, late night runs for food, climbing on roofs, going shopping, and even just studying for that next big test. Basically I'm just ready to be back to the way life is supposed to be, I don't think I can last another month before I go back.
