How do you like Cian's shitty music? he sounds terrible. you are just another one of his stupid fan girls that wants some of his small diddle.
Hi anonymous person,
1. I am not ‘another one of his stupid fan girls’, Cian and I are friends we’ll always will be and nothing else. We met at the first ever BVB gig in Dublin and have been in and out of touch since then so first off I help boost his music because I’m his friend and I know and want him to succeed in what he loves.
2. Small diddle? Are you 12? It’s pronounced penis. I don’t have interest in that either. (See point 1)
3. I like his music because I like acoustic music and like many acoustic artist Cian writes his music from experiences and from the heart. He is genuine and I admire him for that.
4. If he sounds terrible to you then I suggest you don’t bother listening to him. You wouldn’t eat nuts if you were allergic so don’t listen to music you don’t like. I, however, will continue to listen to him into the far future :)
Thank you for your wonderful insights :)
Hey, sorry I'm late getting back to you :P I'm the one who asked you did you did you like the changes between TR2 and 3. Personally I grew up playing the first two when I was a kid, and when 3 came out I was too afraid to play most of the levels (besides Nevada), but I I guess because I have such a connection with the first two games, the sights and sounds in 3 just don't sound right to me. It's not that i don't like TR3, I love it now, but I think someone should develop a TR2 texture pack for 3
That makes sense. I guess I didn't see the contrast as much at the time. For me it was just more like an evolution than a jarring change. As for the retexture, I don't know the first thing about modding, but I'm sure there are people out there who could do it.On a side note, have you played TR1 with any of the Tomb Raider Xtra texure packs? Some are really gorgeous, some a little too gaudy for my taste, but it's so cool to see fans putting in the effort.
You probably get this a lot, but what is your opinion on the format change between TR2 and TR3. TR and TR2 were very samey, as in they were both kinda colourful games (even though they were creepy) and the music and sounds are a lot lighter than they are in TR3. Do you think they should have kept TR3 similar to the first two games? :)
TBH, I don’t think I have been asked this before. It’s an interesting question, and something I haven’t thought all that much about—at least not recently. Just off the top of my head, I feel like TR3 is a natural evolution from the previous games. Lara gets some new moves and extra polygons, the scenery includes more odd angles and so doesn’t seem quite as blocky, the middle locations are interchangeable, the levels are generally a little shorter but there are more of them, etc.
At the time TR3 came out, I remember being very excited about all those new features. The PR coming out of Core played up the new tech—the things I mentioned plus features like mist/smoke effects, more enemies, outfits, vehicles—and the fans just gobbled it up, myself included. I think I felt about TR3 the way a lot of newer fans feel about TR 2013. Such spectacle! ;)
I’m not sure whether I agree about the first two games being more colorful. I guess TR3 is literally darker if you don’t adjust the gamma in the game, but if you do, it’s not that different. TR1, while colorful, didn’t have any blue skies or sunshine, probably because the tech didn’t allow it. TR3 probably has the most variety there, but TR2 played up the contrast best by alternating between bright and dark levels. For example, when you step out onto the mountain in Tibet after being underwater for all those many middle levels, it feels like finally being able to breathe!
As for the music, I’m probably not the person to ask. I love all of Nathan McCree’s soundtracks. TR2 is my favorite, but I’ve been replaying TR3 lately and really enjoying the audio. There aren’t quite as many standout pieces (like the Venice and Tibet music in TR2), but the tunes seem to fit the settings.
Thanks for asking. I’d love to hear what you think. Feel free to disagree and definitely let me know if I missed anything obvious.
You are genuinely gorgeous, I don't mean to creep but oh my...
thank you :)x
Recorded on my phone and mixed using Audacity so excuse the quality
I've been experimenting with some folk music lately (due to all the Passenger/Newton Faulkner I've been listening to) and I jammed this wee tune ou...
This is my new song guys, I hope you enjoy it :) I know Ed Sheeran came out with his new song today too so this is probably awful in comparison, but anyway, please give it a wee listen.
Please make sure to reblog and like the hell out of this, any bit of support means the entire world to me :)
Much love <3
