Just a small update. All fish are eating @northfinusa cichlid and krill 3mm pellets. Put in my runt pinima with them to put some size on him. I am honestly super happy with this group. Surprising that the kels growth rate so far is similar to a kelberi. I feed them 2-3 times a day sometimes skipping a day or two during the week. Only noticeable difference is you see some shinny gold areas along the xingus lateral line and spangling in the kels dorsal fins. Growout Set Up, 29g - Was previously used for flowerhorns. Didn't want to buy a new tank if i already had one. Filtration - SunSun - 302 Canister Filter, Seachem (Sicce) Tidal 35 HOB filter Heater - Hygger Digital Heater. I love These Heaters. I am keeping the tank bare bottom. IMO growout tanks (depending on fish) You don't want to put to much money into it just because it is a temporary set up. Everything mentioned above was previously used in other set ups.
