Ciel "Robin" Cosplay ~ FINISHED! YAY! =^_^=
I am FINALLY done with my costume! I worked so hard on it and I am soo happy that it turned out okay. Well, I guess I'll actually find out tomorrow if it turned out okay, at COMIKAZE!!
So what I still had to do: black ribbons back and front:
I also needed to gather the back:
I did so much stitching so it would stay. I ain't taking any chances!
Looks pretty =^_^=
Can't remember if I'd posted this, but I stitched this to the back, to "tie" it in the back:
I know it's crappy :/. So now for the big pink bow. It's hard to make a pink bow as bit as it is in the anime. Mine didn't come out as big, but it still looks pretty good, in my opinion. I had to improvise.
I used the leftover fabric to stitch together one loooong strip, about 12" wide and who knows how long in length:
I stitched it so that you can't see the stitching, and it's like one long sleeve:
I used this to make the bow:
And then cut as needed :).
You can see the stitching, but at this point I am soo tired I really don't mind.
So, those two strips that hang, I cut through the middle and then rounded the corner, and stitched my leftover lace to the edges:
In the anime, it looks a bit different, but I think it's fine to make it a bit different.
Like, I decided that for now, I will not add that darker pink ribbon the the bottom of the pink layer. I just don't think it will look good :(. At least not for now. Maybe I'll change my mind by next year's San Diego Comic Con.
I glued these things to the back so I can pin it to the back of the dress:
When I actually tried it on though, it didn't look good. I'm going to glue the tops of the bow to the back of the dress for extra support. I know, tacky, but it will (hopefully) work.
So that's it for now.
READY AND SUPER PSYCHED FOR COMIKAZE TOMORROW!!!
=^_^=!!
