im back i had to plug this one, joan he's "the ones we're meant to find". words cannot describe what i feel towards this honestly it was just stunning. prose flowed so well; did take me a while to figure out what was going on but oH when i did... *chefs kiss* 10/10 would reread, will definitely reread now that i know the whole backstory lol

sci-fi, i believed it was listed as YA in my library but just a general statement that there are characters who do the Thing (was not described explicitly but i skimmed anyway)

Again the cover is so?? Gorgeous?? I've also noted the good prose part 👀

not wlw unfortunately but jeff noon's series "nyquist mystery" was intriguing. kind of fantasy, kind of horror, depending on how you look at it. definitely has creepy stuff though.

8. Which OC is your favorite?

It's a tough question because I love all my OCs, but my all time favorite is probably JC from Project Pulsar. There's just something about his anxiety blended with his deep seeded apathy that is so interesting. And he's a lot of fun to psychoanalyse.

9. Which OC is an absolute pain to write?

In my current WIP, it's probably Leila. She's a great character, but I've always struggled with the distant, shy types (even though that's the closest to me irl). It's hard to decide when and where to have her open up and exactly what she'll say when she doesn't want to.

10. If you had to write a novel about one of the side characters in your current WIP, which character would you choose?

In Ichor, I think the character of Viridian has a lot of potential, especially considering a created her purely out of spite against the Batman franchise. She's supposed to be a decontruction of the Batman type of vigilante, which means she's necessarily wrong within the framing of the narrative. But she has the air and aesthetic of a hero. That's just a really interesting dichotomy to play with.
