Antero Lindgren is not Finland's The National, early U2, John Frusciante's solo stuff or Mark Lanegan. Antero Lindgren is Antero Lindgren. Antero released his debut album on March. It was produced by Risto Joensuu and Matti Ahopelto of Siinai.
Antero Lindgren is a relatively unknown Finnish musician that has been active for quite some time.
According to what I've heard he has worked his way through three records companies in seven years, but it's only this spring that we're going to witness his debut album Mother.
The forthcoming album is supposedly filled with Antero's demons, that he finally has come to terms with. I guess the tune Cigarette Stump in this music video here also has some sort of old demon hidden within it.
It seems the demons sound like folk, country and album oriented rock, a bit in the style of Bruce Springsteen from time to time.
It sounds quite nice though. I was pleased when I found it.
See if you can spot the demons in this.
