Poppy allows herself a little smile. She's half under Caspian's larger body, face tucked in against his shoulder so she doesn't have to face the morning light streaming in through the window.

There's a soft nod, though. An answering sentiment.

After a moment, warm brown eyes open to fish around for her notebook.

I don't want to go anywhere either. There's nowhere I'd rather be.

"You're so sweet to me." Hartley wraps her arms around his shoulders, up on her toes even more to be able to press her chest against his in this embrace. Luciano's been away for business, and now that he's back, well. There's no hiding how much she's missed him.

"I think you should kiss me anyway, baby."

Emile sang softly to himself, bathing in the ice cold waters of a stream. It was bracing, but his father had taken him on long hunting trips since he was small, he was used to the small comforts available outside of the courts.

His mind drifted to his tutor, first to hopes that the man was finished building the fire. Then, with a pang of guilt, to wondering if he should have offered the first chance at bathing to Meurig. It never occurred to Emile that they might bathe together. When he heard approaching footsteps, the prince whirled around, magic jumping at his fingertips- and slipped on the stream bed, dunking himself fully.

Let me stir the pot a little: what are some negative traits Lilé has that she learned/inherited from Deorsa? In what bad ways is she like him?

alright, here we go:

she doesn’t trust easily - or at all - and she gets that from him. she can be emotionally cold in certain situations.

her mask in situations is almost as good as his. she finds it hard to be herself, especially in public when eyes are on her constantly.

she doesn’t ever talk about it, but she inherited his skill at torture. she hates doing it, but she is very, very good at it.

if she’s been hurt or wronged, she will close herself off to prevent further harm. she did this when Meurig “died”. (@cigarettesandcoffee see what you did to her 👿)

(Not a personality trait, but she also has Deorsa’s eyes.)

andie is staring, she can't help it. there's a reason the phrase useless lesbian exists and it's because of her. she's spent so long hunched over a computer, she's long lost her social graces ( perhaps she never had them in the first place ). still, she has some self-awareness and so she manages to shut her jaw and avert her eyes for a moment before she glances back, shamefully and anxiously hoping to catch the other woman's attention, breath a bit uneven, eyes darting back and forth. she pauses, takes a breath to collect herself and unwraps a stick of gum to pop it in her mouth.

Billie grins, retaliating by pulling her hands from his, stuffing them under his shirt against the warm skin of his stomach.

"That's why I've got you, baby." She teases, pressing smacking kisses against his cheek as if that will keep him in place while she enjoys being a menace. "Aren't you here just to be my personal heater?"

@cigarettesandcoffee sent Riding in the limo on the way to a charity event, Aera was sat pressed against Morgan's side with one of his hands in her lap, tangled up in both of hers. It was their first event being seen publically together. She didn't want to hide their relationship, she adored him and wanted the world to know that she was committed to him and only him. Leaning over to press a kiss against his shoulder, she hummed, "You look nervous, honey bee."

They're in a limo. Aera's pressed against his side in her gorgeous gown, and Morgan is outfitted in a suit she designed specifically for him, and though he's trying to be nonchalant it's clearly not working. He's itching to fidget, and it's probably got that she's got one of his warm hands in hers so that he can't right now.

"I'm fine." Morgan says, before almost immediately pulling the one-eighty. "Okay, I'm a little nervous. I don't want to embarrass you. And I'm a little worried about someone back home recognising me, like, in photos or whatever, but I guess that's secondary."

"This party sucks." Gwendolyn commented over the thumping of the music to the guy sitting next to her in the chairs against the wall. She glanced down into her cup, then back up to him, and smiled, "I'm having a terrible time. What about you?" She couldn't help but laugh.

Flynn leans over towards the woman who'd spoken - partially to hear her better, partially so she can hear him better when he responds.

"Yeah, their music choices suck." He laughs, now turning his head towards her, unseeing eyes clouded. "I wasn't even gonna come but a friend of mine dragged me here - and then ran off to chat up some girl they've been eyeing up."

"The alcohol's okay, at least."
