Hi. I had two questions actually. Im thinking of getting a second delay pedal to go with a boss dd-7. Do you have any suggestions or should i just get another dd-7? As for the second question, i'm thinking of getting a different distortion pedal for metal (melodic death metal). I'm trying to find something along the lines of Dethklok's Dethalbum III, but a bit more/heavier/thicker if you know what i mean. Do you have any recommendations?

I’d definitely recommend getting an analog delay or something to complement the digital delay. If you just need more settings to switch to from the DD-7 but like that sound maybe move to a DD-20? I really like a Carbon Copy paired with a DD-7. Classic combo.

As for distortion, I don’t love a lot of heavy metal distortion pedals. The S&K Pedals VHD is what I currently use for that sound. Another I really like for it is the Okko Dominator. If you’re looking to have that sound in a gigging form I recommend making sure you get something that really does sound good. If you just play at home or sometimes with friends, honestly the cheaper side of things does is fine for that. MXR Fullbore Metal, MT-2, etc. Those really can fill that gap if you need something affordable.

I definitely love my VHD though.
