also extending on that
Being the leader of her clan, Ciiru has given a lot of thought to many things. Ideological differences between the flights is one of those things, especially since there are many dragons in Serclun that hail from other regions and hold aspects of their birth cultures close to their hearts. There are things she often finds herself arguing about with other devoted, albeit typically more fanatic, followers of Plaguebringer she meets on her travels.
For one, she firmly believes that simply destroying one’s enemies, or removing a challenge, doesn’t make one a victor. It’s easy to flaunt being the best when the competition is not there. It’s not adaptation to circumstances, if there’s nothing to adapt to; and surviving, or more so, thriving despite circumstances is the truth of Plague, in Ciiru’s eyes.
Another thing is her embracement of dragons of other elements; more than one or two have made remarks about her trusting a Nature born at her back without reservations. While in her youth Ciiru may have agreed with such attitudes, she now recognizes that all of Serclun’s members bring with them their own weaknesses and vulnerabilities, but also their strengths and unique skills and life experience, which benefit the whole far more than a narrow world-view. And overall, Ciiru places the strength of the whole above the strength of individuals on her priorities for the clan.
quick lore note
Philosophically, Serclun as a whole lies at a meeting point of Plague & Wind ideologies. Discussion of values, and what they represent to individuals and communities, is encouraged. “If an attitude cannot survive under challenge or criticism, it’s better left to the past.”

She left five days ago. Andrea kept gazing to the horizon, knowing well that it would take long before the Matriarch would return. She trusted the clan to handle themselves, trusted everyone to continue their daily lives and to keep peace.

They left five days ago. Zephir by her side Ciiru ventured always further, studying and learning the regions surrounding their home, and keeping watch of and making acquaintance with their neighbours. The clan could sustain itself without a single leader to dictate their life at all times.
