a thought that occurred to me re: Dran & Ethae

Dran has a certain degree of leverage against many of his clanmates due to the fact that he collects secrets. the worse, the better. he has a distaste for gossip, but rather gets a certain satisfaction just from knowing. and others know, and trust in that (for better or worse).

Ethae is one of the few he couldn’t blackmail if he suddenly decided to do so. Ethae isn’t shy; most of the dirt anyone might have on him is already public knowledge, and the secrets he tells Dran are moderately embarrassing at worst, and would most likely improve his image rather than mar it.

Dran finds it quite backwards a way of thinking, but honestly, Ethae takes that as a compliment.
