I think it’s easy for newcomers to fall into states of depersonalization when thinking about non duality. Let’s talk about it!

Lots of words get thrown around in an effort to point towards Self. Some are more effective than others, and I personally dislike classifying things as “real” and “unreal”. My advice is to disregard anything that does not resonate, or make sense.
The phrase “you’re not real” or “you’re not your body, you’re not your mind” can sometimes cause distress and it’s definitely not something you want to hear when you struggle with any kind of dissociation.
all that “you’re not real” means, though, is that you’re not real in the way you thought you once were. You are a unique expression of “ “, part of a larger whole. You are not just your body, you are not just your mind. It’s not you against the world anymore. It’s just you. And you exist. You are real

Sometimes people think they need to do something to have a non-dual experience. This is false. You are always “ “ experiencing “ “.
However some can feel trapped or limited by the body upon discovering non duality, feeling like they need to disregard the body completely and try to separate from it. This is a recipe for depersonalization which can be very distressing!!! do not do this!!!! Embrace the awareness of your body! It is not limiting. It is not separate from you in the slightest and there is no need to “transcend” it. It’s okay to be present in your body.
Similarly, people may think they need to stop having thoughts completely or like… kill their ego or something. U Don’t ❤️ hope that helps. Too tired to keep writing. Let be what is for real.
