Novak Djokovic: “Boy, you never give up man. Jesus Christ. I love that about you. But sometimes I wish you’d maybe play a few points like this,” he said. Alcaraz, smiling near him, would respond to the same with, “Spanish never die.” “I’ve heard that before. Or I’ve experienced this before,” pat came the response from Djokovic.

Feeding the giraffe at Cinci zoo
I was definitely holding my hand flat expecting this girl to pick up the lettuce with her lips like a horse.
I absolutely could not stop giggling when she stuck out her suuuper long tongue and licked the crud out of my hand 😂
Went to Cincinnati to visit some family and just got back. I’m exhausted but I also had so much fun! I did more in 5 days than I normally do in a month (doctor appointments and medical tests excluded). I’m sore all over but it was so much fun too 😅. Here’s the rundown of what we did:
Thursday: 3ish hour drive (shotgun seat for me ofc lol). Arrived at airbnb. Grabbed dinner - actually ate at the restaurant! (How long since I’ve done that before this trip?) then back to Airbnb
Friday: Krohn Conservatory! Spent an hour going through the rooms and (most of it) in the butterfly room! Then back to the Airbnb for a 4 hour nap 😂. Before seeing my sister and her husband for dinner! (TWO out to eat dinners?! AND an hour of other activities? I’m SO fucking impressed with my disabled self!)
Saturday: went to see a few other family members in Chillicothe for lunch (do I have to specify my being shotgun at this point? I guess I haven’t mentioned on blog but I haven’t driven in years. This much shotgun is still ASTOUNDING!)
Sunday: Austin is struck with awful food poisoning. Keeps apologizing to me for “ruining vacation” bc we miss our 2 hour riverboat tour… I’m actually extremely relieved to have a full day of rest at the Airbnb, but he thinks I’m just trying to make him feel better…. (Even if I was up for going out I wouldn’t have been mad, I absolutely know about not being able to control how you feel!)
Monday: luckily Austin was feeling better and we spent the afternoon at the Cincinnati zoo. Had to rent a wheelchair at the beginning bc I knew I’d pass out otherwise and goddamn I thought Austin was gonna regret volunteering to push me but somehow he wasn’t even sore the next day???
Tuesday: Drove home today. Traffic was shit. Gozer missed us terribly. I’m so tired but so glad we did it!
