even though he was sure no one was around, syaoran checked both ways twice before whispering, ‘that watch…it’s no ordinary watch. it’s charmed to tell when danger is coming. hopefully, we can catch this guy—’ he checked behind his shoulder again before adding with a small smile— 'together.

           after the front door to the apartment is open, yì greets xiaolang with the statement of,『你把公寓保持乾淨。』considering xiaolang had not let yì into the house, and yì did not have a key, yì would not be surprised if his little brother was shocked at the appearance of his older brother calmly drinking tea on his couch.

munch, munch, munch...

       [  静 ]  it was a habit of his, purposely done for the sake of humour, or for the sake of making those around him ANNOYED, to munch on his food audibly, so much so that it would anger a law-abiding mother. customarily, it is always seen fit to eat with one’s mouth closed as a sign of respect not only for the food that is being partaken, but for the people who graced one with their presence at the table. doumeki looks up from his food, momentarily pausing in his silent chewing of a mouthful of rice and fried cabbage to hear the sounds not coming from his own person, but from another.

       it is now known that syaoran, of all people, had picked up on the habit, and the older one understands that it is very much EXPERIMENTAL, with no intent of ill will. almost akin to a squirrel, he thinks, as he observes the boy munching on a particular bit of taiyaki upon finishing his bowl of food. at a medium speed, the taiyaki disappears into syaoran’s mouth, which dutifully does its duty to munch, munch, munch to perfection, and doumeki sets down his chopsticks on his bowl before he swallows his food.

       a hand reaches out to take a red-bean flavoured taiyaki; the intricate designs of the fish stands out strikingly, appetizingly inviting him to betray his main dish for favour of dessert, and as if it was a CHAIN EFFECT, he puts it in his mouth, looks at the boy, and munches.

       munch, munch, munch…..
