Headcanons for Three's Company Characters
Jack
First... HELLA neurodivergent. He's not diagnosed in his lifetime (just like John Ritter, he dies in 2003), but he's autistic and he has ADHD. That's just how I see it. He wasn't verbal until he was two years old, and he's surprisingly sensitive to sound.
He's mostly fluent in ASL; he started learning it when he was six years old (mostly to help whenever he went through non-verbal periods), and it's been a useful skill for him.
One of his biggest crushes was Sharon Tate. His favorite look of hers was when she played Sarah in Fearless Vampire Killers (he has a thing for redheads).
As much as he loves dogs, he's definitely a cat person.
Janet
Also hella autistic. That's just how it is.
Although she grew up in Indiana, she was actually born in West Virginia. Her family moved to Indiana when she was five. She doesn't have a lot of memories of living in West Virginia, but she would love to go back there one day.
When X-Files premiered and she got obsessed with it, she had her hair cut in the same style as Gillian Anderson's hair.
Speaking of which, she was surprisingly active on those early fandom chatrooms and forums. Her most active fandoms were X-Files, Law and Order: SVU, The West Wing, and Doctor Who.
Chrissy
LOOOOOOVES horse. She rode horses before she could even walk. Sometimes, she goes to the stables in the L.A. area to ride for nostalgia.
She did a lot of theater in high school and considered becoming an actress, but she didn't think that her parents would approve.
There was a point in high school where she was pretty much like Grace Chasity from the Hatchetfield series, but she grew out of that.
Cindy
Idolized the HELL out of her cousin Chrissy. The day that she took her first steps, it was because Chrissy's side of the family had come to visit and she just couldn't wait to see her favorite cousin.
She loves soap operas. She gots to have her stories, guys. And she still hasn't gotten over that time she walked past Tony Geary on the street, and he gave her a slight nod of acknowledgement.
Terri
During her time in Hawaii, she adopts a baby girl named Layla.
She serves as an unofficial doula for Janet, Chrissy, and Cindy when they have their babies.
Her guilty pleasure is Danielle Steel novels. She taped every single TV movie adaptation ever made.
Larry
This is mostly because I learned that Richard Kline had played the Wizard in Wicked at some point, but Larry is secretly a massive musical theater nerd. He has a secret stash of cast albums hidden under his bed.
Sketch I did of Cindy from Three’s Company. I rarely draw women so this was sort of a practice. Ignore the bass headstock, I was sketching Rick savage right next to her. :D
