Chrissy hugs her knees up to her chest, but watches amused as Robin paces back and forth. Who would've known, a year ago, that she'd be here? Had anyone told her she'd be friends with half of the people she's friends with now, she would have laughed in disbelief. “I think that's just how it feels to be a teenager,” she offers.
Everyone feels like that, right? “And being a girl too, maybe, and we're supposed to... I don't know, help each other... build community, that's what they say in church.” That sounds so cheesy, she knows it does, but now that she's made some new real friends, Chrissy thinks that she might understand what people talk about.
