cinia is an unwilling daughter of coldharbour, which, to molag, is the best kind, but every time he visits her in nirn to remind her of her place, he pushes her past terror and the heights of adrenaline to a place where she must capitulate. dubious consent laced with hatred is all the more sweeter for it's stench of domination. it would be simple for the daedric lord to just take what he wants. but that's child's play to bal - he would rather pull cinia (his favorite toy) like a puppet on strings until she is begging him, please, divines, and in time, she becomes defiant again. momentary submission becomes more fuel for her hatred. she always crawls back to her feet so he can crush her again. physical torture would be too rote, too bland - he much prefers to use physical means to crawl inside her head and make her suffer between strung-out extremes of several horrifying emotions, until she is forced to turn her nos to yeses. it is the finest form of domination, and he continuously finds new ways to dominate her. she is his favorite champion. he might even mourn the day her mind breaks.

cinia is mbal's fav unwillingly willing subject and one of his better deals in the past couple of eras. daedric princes always win, and in this case he's won several centuries worth of cinia's maelstrom of suffering and FINALLY some payback for that bitch vestige ruining his plans - and oh, does he love it. cinia looks slightly different from a standard vampire because of her unique deal, and her hatred for mbal still drives her to destroy his shrines and his followers, even knowing that he will inevitably show up to remind her of her place. mbal hates lilit for ruining him and escaping his ire; he subjugated cinia (lilit's bloodline under serpent sign) as some small parcel of satisfaction and vengeance. eventually, cinia evolved to less of him being pissed at lilit and more loving to hate cinia herself. he loves to watch her squirm and bleed and never find death because it is forbidden to her - her suffering is his favorite of all the people he makes suffer, and her complicated hatred and extreme stubborness (the refusal to finally submit, to let him have his way - she is bound but she has never stopped pulling against the bindings, he keeps kicking her down but she always gets up, and there's where all the fun lies. the simple pleasure of getting to kick her down again) cinia is a vampire, a daughter of coldharbour against her better judgement and against her will because she made a deal and it doesn't favor her. she cannot die - a daedric prince keeps a deal, after all - but that also allows bal to do... whatever he wants with her, really. and she has never stopped feeling hatred - for bal, for asta (mixed with the greatest love she can have for another human being) - deepest hatred for everyone who sees vampirism as a gift.

asta values duty and honor and keeping peace, often in defiance of her own well being and often against her tired desire for a quiet life. she is a soldier and has never lost her soldier's mentality. cinia values relationships and her family, which is why she was hurt and pissed when asta marched off to war; then she spent years learning archaeology (usually hand in hand w magic in tamriel) to fill the gap. she still hurts, and prefers being alone nowadays.
