Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar. 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 2 tablespoons granulated sugar. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350F 175C. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined. Spread the cookie dough evenly into the prepared baking dish. In a small bowl, mix together the 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the cookie dough. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Allow the cookie bars to cool completely in the baking dish before cutting into squares and serving.
