He really had tried to resist. For almost a week.
He'd been freaked out enough at first that it had been easy because he'd been so out of his head he hadn't remembered how he got home. Then the days following he'd just sort of floated through until his mood turned and he became a menace to be around. He usually had a temper anyway, but it was getting so out of hand he lost one of his jobs because of it.
In the end it had felt like every hour without Cin hurt him, which was fucking stupid. Cin was for sale, he didn't give a shit about Hadrian. And still Hadrian needed him so much he ached with it.
So he was back where he had been five years ago, his heart beating in his throat as he asked for Cin. He really wished he could take the man out of there when looking around. Now that he was sober the place made his skin crawl.
