here is one of the hardest parts, is, you must find within your sincere, unsure, bruised adult self the strength of a child’s conviction:

i mentioned Bad Haircut Circinus and had a sudden need to draw him, then he looked sad so i wanted to draw a happy circinus too!!!! IT’S BEEN SO LONG SINCE I’VE PUT THIS BIRD ON MY BLOG..

so, in the name of cleaning out my folders tonight i thought i’d finally share this comic - it’s not finished, obviously, but despite the work i put into it i feel a bit detached from it now. :,) it’s still an important part of tinyhawke’s story, but i’ve learned a lot about pacing and scripts since i first made this (and i still have a really long way to go!!) so i’d like to just present it as-is. 

i first started this project last october and worked on it for two months or so, but i haven’t touched it since - in a lot of ways i felt blocked creatively on it (there are like eight varrics missing from this because i couldn’t draw him in a way i liked) and i’m tired of just letting it rot on my hard drive haha. so! in the name of valiant attempts made, here’s a little tinyhawke thing set after adamant and the loss of stroud.

pros:

very cuddly and affectionate

gives very thoughtful small gifts (your favorite flowers, something you may have expressed needing once a long time ago that he remembered, heartfelt notes)

will laugh at your jokes no matter how bad they are

Designated Driver Friend

good massages

VERY SMALL, VERY EASY TO HOLD/CARRY PLACES

will call you on your bullshit when he sees it, but politely and with love

comes bundled with really delicious family recipes that he’ll make for you sometimes

cons:

very easily flustered and not subtle at all

stubbornly refuses to ask for help reaching high shelves and thus will climb all over your house to reach what he needs

despite giving good “smaller” gifts, really blunders when he tries to do something exceptionally involved or romantic

probably worried for you all the time no matter how often you reassure him. HE JUST WANTS YOU TO BE SAFE

will definitely steal the blankets at night and wake up & walk around the house with them folded around him like a brooding monarch even if you are still lying on the blanket-less bed

not a morning person in general, especially where bedhead/hey-you-drooled-on-me/wanting to bang right when he wakes up are concerned
