This took me over half an hour because I was multitasking watching a gameplay of Deltarune Chapter 5 (which is goofy as heck in its plot with some interesting appearances and plot points).

Circuit C - Sonoma Speed Stars

Cole Ives (19) (leader) / Nissan 300ZX (Z32) Cole is the fun-loving and optimistic of the six, having co-founded the team with his main man Kenneth and two of their classmates in their final year of high school. His late dad is the main reason for his hyper fixation on racing as a child, having seen IMSA videos on his laptop every day and driving around in an old Nissan he would later inherit. He's more often than not the first one to step up to any rival team even if his crew don't end up winning.

Kenneth Barlow (19) / Nissan 300ZX (Z31) Kenneth is a bit more level-headed, and likely a darker-skinned, older version of Thomas despite being Cole's 'Itsuki Takeuchi' the way Kenji from the Akina Speed Stars was for Koichiro Iketani in Initial D. Aside from Initial D, which is likely the reason he got big into tuner cars in general, he is a huge weeb. Those spectacles and Uchiha Clan shirt should tell you everything you need to know about him.

Cody Jensen (19) / Nissan 350Z (Z33) Cody joined/formed the Speed Stars with Cole and Kenneth having known those two from their high school days together in their junior year. He's a bit quick-witted with a snarky jab or two or a corny (or even dirty) joke and easily enthused, displaying unwavering loyalty to the team even when some of the rest are skeptical of their abilities. Aside from mechanical work as a profession, he's also very good with a skateboard. Currently, he's in community college where he met somebody who got into cars through the same anime and manga that captivated him (no, it's not Initial D) and they, according to him, 'kinda never stopped talking'.

Terrence "Terry" Stewart (20) / Nissan 200SX (S12) Terrence is the oldest member of the Speed Stars, having joined to become one of the original foursome that stayed as such until about early 2018. Another Initial D fanboy, Terrence displays the same interest in Japanese tuner cars, moreso specializing in drifting (much like somebody else on this team that owns a Nissan S-chassis vehicle) after having watched the original Pluspy tapes featuring Keiichi Tsuchiya that inspired the racing manga/anime franchise. In fact, the only reason he bought a Nissan 200SX (S12) was because he wanted to combine his love for Nissans with his love for the hero car of Initial D; by buying the car that was made to rival said hero car. He can smell trouble at times, but like the other dudes he loves the team even if he considers calling it quits from time to time.

Bruce Jeter (19) / Nissan 240SX 'Onevia' (S13) Bruce is your average black anime enjoyer, but he got into drifting after playing the Noise Bomb organization events in Need For Speed: Prostreet in the seventh grade after having watched the entirety of the first Naruto series a year prior. He learned about the 'Sil80' upon looking into the Need For Speed (2015) game when it released and wondered about how an S13 Nissan Silvia body would look with the front end of the 180SX (RPS13). Lucky for him, he somehow came around a used USDM Nissan Silvia with a 240SX (RPS13) front end, slapped some Nismo LMGT4 rims from his hard-earned pizza delivery money, and started sliding it around Sears Point Raceway (before eventually coming across Kenneth and Terrence at a track day). He's most likely to be seen in something that spells street and swagger, with a little bit of "I grew up with this."

Jacky Byler (20) / Infinity G35 (V35) Jacky took two years after high school to decompress and work their part-time retail store salas associate position at a local Best Buy before starting community college at Santa Rosa Junior, where they eventually met Cody and 'kinda never stopped talking'. They're laid-back and a bit meek, but are very much enthused, especially about Cody's team having heard from his mouth about them one day in school. They contemplate becoming a Speed Star, but only time will tell if they actually get the team sticker.

It's time for...

WAY OVERDUE CHARACTER INTRODUCTIONS!!!

I said some time ago that I'd do this before working on chapter 3. So here it is; the first batch of character information/introductions/backgrounds!

Thomas Ferguson

Male

Age: 17

Car: 2013 Scion FR-S / Toyota GT86 (ZN6)

Nativity: Sonoma County, California

Thomas is 17 years old and out of his 3rd year in high school, who would much prefer to ride a bike than race a car fast at night. But it's how he helps to keel his old man's home business afloat after bowing out of the racing scene for the moment.

When he's not slinging it out on the asphalt at night, he's reading his favorite books or playing videogames at home or hanging around with his best friend Robbie, and they're (barely) tearin' it up at their car wash job and later hangin' out at Larsson's with Cole and Kenneth, and they somehow get away with that.

He also knows this one chick from school that he may or may not have a thing for. :3

Robbie Trent

Male

Age: 17

Car: not yet...?

Nativity: Sonoma County, California

Whatever his best friend Thomas is, Robbie is quite literally the opposite. In contrast to Thomas's relative introversion, Robbie is very much a people person. They both know Cole and Kenneth from middle school even though those two're a year or two older. Aside from that, auto racing to him is part of his holy trinity of favorite things. He strives to get a cool car, not his Dad's crappy Camfy Solara or the grocery getter Prius, but more like Cole and Kenneth's 300ZXs, only he wants the Toyota version of that (not a rebadge). One thing's for sure, he believes joining their racing team will be his plan towards coolness.

Cars: Nissan 300ZX (Z31 [Kenneth], Z32 [Cole]

Cole and Kenneth have been inseparable since that one time in middle school when Kenneth was looking at cars and Cole popped in. The rest is history (kinda). The two formed a racing team with some other friends of theirs from high school called the Sonoma Speeds Stars (because Cole is a big auto racing fanboy that he nabbed the name from Initial D). That team's been been around for a few years, like 1-2, and they mainly do what they do for leisure.

Kenneth is practically an older version of Thomas, but darker-skinned and nerdy; about cars and any fictional media having to do with American superheroes, Japanese stuff, or any web-based things in general. Initial D happened to drag him in the hardest when he met Cole.

Cole is the older version of Robbie, but level-headed and less concerned about looking cool, but he has his moments. He works with Robbie and Thomas at a gas station car wash, and later hangs out with them and Kenneth at Larsson's where they all know an upperclassmen from their school. He's an avid racing fan mostly because of his dad havingI MSA on his laptop all the time, and just so happened to come across Initial D when he was 12 years old and fell hard for Iketani's green-grey two-tone S13 Silvia. That anime was such a big influence on him that he got Kenneth's geeky ass into it and now they have the same car model with different chassis codes.
