taking a lil moment to post about a huge hero of mine..alicia taylor. alicia is the founder of the cirque/dance group, the cherry bombs. i’ve been into fire dance and cirque arts now for nearly ten years & was literally never able to find my place within it. it all started with me when I was regularly attending music festivals & really into EDM music. I completely fell in love with flow arts & the whole idea completely stole my heart from day one. as a person who has always been drawn to dance but was never sure exactly what kind or where my place was within it, when I discovered the endless props being used in flow arts, it suddenly began to all make sense. my mom used to dance in the 80s-early 90s & was even shown on CMT dancing a few times back in the day(lol😂) my mom & I have different styles but I think I definitely get my love of dance in general from her. I joined a dance team as a kid for a bit & it was probably my favorite “sport” I was ever a part of growing up. the cirque arts & fire most likely stemmed at least some from watching too much criss angel & seeing his live cirque du soleil show in vegas when I was 14. i’ve always been into rock & metal probably more than any other genre of music..so when I discovered the cherry bombs, I was ecstatic that something like what they do even exists. what alicia has created is amazing, & I look up to her so much. I can’t imagine how it would feel to be a part of something so rad, but it’s truly a huge dream of mine to be part of the cherry bombs girl gang. 🖤🔥💫
