A Lapse in Judgement || Kozue + Leeteuk
It was finally night time and Kozue felt some relief from the merciless sun and heat that had been attacking her all day. She was starting to think she hadn't brought enough sun screen, and she could not tan. She would not let herself tan. Hell, her body probably wasn't capable of tanning, just burning to a crisp like Tiffany in Bride of Chucky after being thrown into the oven. Once you've lived most of your life with a shaved head, you learn to be careful about the sun. A burned scalp was not a fun thing to deal with.
If this weather kept up it was probably going to solidify a nocturnal schedule. She laid back on the beach in the sand, her toes curling into it, her arms folded behind her head and she looked up at the stars. This wasn't he furthest she'd been from home, but this certainly was the weirdest and most drastic change of setting. She didn't like the heat so she'd never bothered going to the tropics when she was just wandering around. Though this mild humid heat was kind of nice against her skin, giving her time to just sit and admire the night sky.
They'd been warned against traveling too far into the thicket of trees more inland- apparently it was 'dangerous'. All it made her want to do is go on a midnight hike. Was was like a belligerent teenager in that respect- tell her not to do something and she wants to do it all the more.
She sat up, looking back towards the trees, her fingers digging into the sand. If she was drunk she probably would consider this a bad idea, but she was sober and up for an adventure, so why not. She pushed herself up and brushed the sand off her thighs and calves, before shaking out the back of her black sundress. Her hair shook itself out, dislodging every grain of sand that got stuck in there. She picked up her shoes and flashlight from the ground and started to head towards the grass and trees, wiping the sand from her feet and pulling the shoes back on.
"This is probably a dumb idea…" She said to herself, clicking the flashlight on to shine light on the forest. "But it's not my first dumb idea." Kozue grinned before she started to trek out into the dark.
