Hey! How are you? I hope everything is getting better for you. Just a quick question as a fan of Citadel and Scandal, is Citadel and Scandal actually in the same universe or are the crossovers non-canon?
I’d like to think they’re in the same universe… I don’t know what @bouncyballcitadel thinks about it but I definitely see them as being within the same universe.
And things are going a lot better! I’ve started on the revisions for chapter four and I hope to have it out sometime in April (as that’ll be when I know I can write).
Do you have any WIPs that you’d recommend? I absolutely adore yours and was wondering if you enjoy any.
I don’t read WIPs as much as I used to… I’ve been too busy but these are some that I’m aware of.
Citadel: A Medical Drama by @bouncyballcitadel is an absolutely amazing WIP that I highly recommend. Not even for the fact that Bouncy is an incredible person but her characters and the way in which she’s able to make everything come to life is beautiful. I don’t think you could wrong with Citadel.
Out of the Blue by @vahnyawrites is another amazing story. Even if there isn’t a demo yet, I’m patiently waiting for it to be released. Everything I’ve seen has shown me that Vahnya is an amazing writer. (An amazing person in general.) Her characters and setting will really draw you in even without a demo.
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes— An Affair of the Heart by @doriana-gray-games is a WIP that has brought all of my childish fantasies to life (in a good way). I absolutely adore Sherlock Holmes and I adore the way Doriana was able to nail not only the era in which Sherlock was written but the eccentric characteristics that Holmes always has. Plus, the writing is absolutely divine.
These are the only ones I can think of at the moment but I’m 100% certain there’s more. I just can’t recall them at the current moment.
Just saw your crossover with Citadel! Here's another question...who would the Scandal ROs get along with the least? oh oh and how would Christian and Alcina react if Grey or Sloan flirted with a single pringle MC??
Another great question regarding this crossover. @bouncyballcitadel has amazing characters that I absolutely adore. None as sweet as her, of course, but I love them all the same.
Side note... just because the Scandal RO won't get along with the Citadel RO, it doesn't necessarily mean that they hate one another. They could have a mutual respect that doesn't go beyond anything else.
Christian: I don't know if he'd get along with Davy. I think they'd remind him too much of Alcina in some ways... not necessarily in a bad way but I think that would cause a disconnect with him. He would remain cordial with Davy, of course, I just don't think he'd ever pursue a friendship with them.
Alcina: I don't think she'd get along with Eli. Not because she dislikes them but I think it would twist her heart seeing someone so idealistic. Someone still filled with so much hope. I think it would sting for her to be around someone like that for long. She would hope that the world wouldn't change them.
Stephen: Vic. I think he'd get whiplash with how different they are regarding certain situations. He's not the best at playing poker and doesn't understand why people wouldn't show all of their cards when it's not crucial. Poor Stephen would get a headache trying to keep up. Though, I believe, he would still respect them.
Quinn: Grey. They understand what type of man Grey is and they respect him for it. But they're good at reading between the lines and understand what it takes to get into power. Especially the type of power that Grey has. No one is that spotless without working too damn hard in appearing as such.
(Alcina and Christian response below the cut... The two think the MC is single.)
Alcina:
"Madam First Lady."
The polite greeting from a passing Senator barely filters in as she keeps her gaze level with the scene across the hall. Her elegant brow furrows in silent disdain as she watches the red hue light up the most beautiful face in the room. Emerald green eyes shifting over towards the reasons-- crimson-painted lips thinning at the sight of the woman.
Doctor Ivy Sloan.
Alcina had been aware that representatives from Citadel Health would be attending the banquet. A subtle fuck you from her husband towards Senator Campbell. As one could never truly say how they feel in politics. It was all a game of misdirection and subterfuge. The highest bidder meant nothing if they already had a knife in their back by the time the event ended.
Resisting the urge to cross her arms, as she notices another blush dust your cheeks, Alcina grabs another flute of champagne. Hoping that the bubbly liquid would soothe the raging inferno that was beginning to roar in the pit of her stomach.
Get a hold of yourself, Alcina, she hisses to herself. You're acting like a goddamn fool.
Even being aware of the fact made little difference to her as she heard the delectable sound of her loves laugh. The gentle timbre, which always set her heart aflame with passion, doing nothing but adding kindling to the fire.
"Enough is enough," she mutters as she places her flute on a nearby table. Her attention barely wavering from the divine form of the woman that would always hold all of her attention. Striding across the ballroom like a panther stalking its next meal-- grace and elegance exuding from every movement of her lithe form. Sharp eyes glinting with an emotion that was only shown during the highest peaks of passion. Something that only one other person in the room would be able to know by one look.
Stopping in front of the Doctor, Alcina offers a smile. Her eyes easily assess the woman as she does the same to her. Offering her hand, her purr-like tone is reminiscent of silk through the air.
"Doctor Sloan," she begins. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you. I've heard so much about you."
Hazel eyes narrow imperceptibly as Alcina smirks internally.
A slim hand slotting into hers as she's offered a barely-there smile.
"Madam First Lady, I'm honored that you feel that way."
Christian:
His grip tightens on his whiskey glass as he notices the scene across the room. The pandering sentiments from the Congressman falling on deaf ears as the world turns to white noise. Sky blue eyes narrowed into slits as he tried to reign in his anger. But seeing the familiar hue of red on your cheeks ignites a beast within him. One that he wasn't sure he could tame when he notices the lips, of the man who caused such a reaction, quirking upwards ever-so-slightly.
Doctor Peter Grey was an enigma to him.
On one hand, Christian admires him for everything he stands for. At least on paper. He seems like a good, honest man that would do right by his patients. It doesn't hurt that he knocked Senator Campbell down a peg or two.
I have been wanting to do that since I got into Office, he muses. It's just another thing I'm indebted to the man for.
But there was one thing that he was never going to part with. That he was never going to bargain with.
The love of his life.
The woman that is currently chuckling at something else the man had said.
Frowning, Christian downs the rest of his drink in one go as he moves towards the pair. Even if he couldn't outright claim her, not yet at least, he would make damn well sure she knew that he was there. That he wasn't going to let her go without a fight. A damn good one.
Settling beside her form, Christian meets the other pair of blue eyes. His head tilting to the side as he offers his politician smile. Noticing almost immediately the same was given to him in response. Even if he couldn't read the man, he would always be able to tell a shark from a dolphin.
This man was a shark through and through. Even if he wanted to be a dolphin.
Offering his hand, Christian's deep voice breaks the silence. Feeling all too aware of her gaze on the side of his face. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Doctor Grey." He chuckles good-naturedly, even as he shifts closer to his love. "I've been meaning to greet the man who set Campbell straight."
Taking his hand, Grey shakes it. "Someone had to, sir. I wasn't going to stand by as he slandered everything I worked so hard for."
Nodding, Christian understands the feeling completely. "That's a sentiment I can agree on wholeheartedly."
lmao imagine the Scandal ROs and their Citadel BFF in a scenario where there’s this rumor going around that the Citadel character is dating the Scandal MC (totally not true, ofc) how would the Scandal RO react?? would they confront the Citadel RO? Wish them the best? Challenge them to SABERS AT DAWN 🤣
Christian and Dr. Grey:
Tapping his finger against his desk, Christian could feel the way his nerves were starting to get to him. Of course, he knew that Peter would never do such a thing to him. They may have disconnects at times when it came to communicating properly, but he believes wholeheartedly that they were good friends. That Peter was actually one of his closest friends he had in his life.
The dial tone was finally interrupted by the smooth tone of Doctor Grey.
“Christian?”
The sound of his friends voice causes him to sag. All of his earlier indignation leaving him. “Peter.”
Such a simple statement, laden with years and years of pent up emotion, clearly causes a concerned reaction out of the older man. “Is everything all right?”
For a moment, Christian thinks about asking Peter for an explanation but he also knows his friend well enough to know that he would keep something like this from him. Not when it came to her…
Settling back, an actual smile pulls at Christian’s lips as a soft chuckle falls from them. “I’ve never been better, Peter. How’s Citadel treating you?”
Alcina and Dr. Sloan:
“It’s been too long, darling.”
The statement is followed my a warm smile as Alcina placed a light kiss on the shorter woman’s cheek. Sparkling emerald eyes meeting faintly amused hazel.
Ivy Sloan situates herself in the chair opposite the First Lady as she folds her hands neatly in her lap. The deep red of the dress she decided to wear complementing her fair complexion and auburn hair. Her keen eyes assessing Alcina just as Alcina was doing so to her.
“It has been, Ali,” Ivy begins almost testing the words on her lips. Her brow arching in a silent question that neither were willing to voice. Even though they both knew the root of it. “I’m quite curious as to what prompted this sudden visit.”
Alcina fakes a gasp of outrage. Settling back in her chair with a hand to her chest. “Are you not happy to see me, Ivy?”
“Happy isn’t quite the right word, Alcina.” Hazel eyes turn sharper as her concern for her friend grows. “Now why don’t you actually tell me what’s wrong? Even though I have an inclination on what it may be.”
Shaking her head, a slight smile quirks Alcina’s lips before she stifles it. “Are you dating, Anon?”
An incredulous look is all Alcina gets for a moment before a light laugh erupts from Ivy’s lips. “No, Alcina, I’m not.”
Nodding, Alcina tugs at the corner of her napkin for a moment.
“So how about brunch?”
The Sunshine Squad:
Stevie Wonder- Jean are you dating, Anon?
Sunshine Kid- What!? Of course not, Stephen.
Stevie Wonder- …
Sunshine Kid- …
Stevie Wonder- Are you sure?
Sunshine Kid- I’m pretty positive I’m not dating anyone at the moment, Stevie.
Stevie Wonder- Okay, I believe you. I just wanted to ask because I heard it through the grapevine.
Sunshine Kid- Well, thank you, for asking.
The Dancing Clown- I’m in here too, guys. Why didn’t you ask me?
Stevie Wonder- Because you’re too busy pining over your own best friend to go after mine.
Sunshine Kid- Facts.
The Brooding Squad:
Three sets of eyes stare at one another from various points in the room. No hostility being passed between looks as gazes shift from one to the other.
Finally, gray eyes narrow as Quinn straightens out. “It was foolish to think either of you would go after, Anon, without consulting me first.”
Glancing back down, their eyes furrow in thought before a small smirk quirks their lips.
Looking back up, they can see the makings of hostility beginning to grow within their opponents gazes.
"'What makes you so damned special? Why you and not me?' I loved that moment in the Citadel DLC. The way the game shows us that, despite being a badass, the reason Shepard is 'special' is because he/she has awesome people backing him/her. Felt really bad for the clone though."
