well I mean phones are also more practical than cruises, and considering most apartments need down payment and like 3months rent advance, your best bet is buying the phone
But I already have a phone (it kinda sucks. but) And if someone asked me "would you rather have a new phone or go on a cruise to the bahamas" I would definitely say "bahamas", because experiences make me happier than material items, in general. Apparently, it's like that for a lot of people too.
Also, I thought $400 would pay for my portion of the down payment bc I thought it was one months advance, but I suppose no one out here trusts anyone xD I plan on hopefully living with a lot of people too.

ugh. But the thing is the phone I want is $400, and I look at that price and think about how I could pay for a cruise to the Bahamas or how that's half of a trip to Chile or half of an apartment downpayment and I just can't bring myself to spend all that money even though I want the shiny hi-tech thing.
I'm gonna have to pay for college soon now that you remind me.
