Here's the rules: List the first lines of your last 20 stories (if you have less  than 20, just list them all!). See if there are any patterns. Choose  your favourite opening line. Then tag 10 of your favourite authors!

Not tagging anybody, because that's just not something I do. But as always, people are welcome to join in on it if they want to!

I don't have 20 stories up, so all the starting lines here are from all of my works currently posted on AO3 + one that's in the works.

She is born but seconds after her brother, much quicker than should perhaps be possible. Something Else.

The return to Earth is… weird. The Stars Will Be There Tomorrow (There’s always another chance to shine next to them).

These are just the published stories + a WIP, I've got a lot more stuck in development hell, but I'm noticing that my first lines tend to be short and a little mysterious or ominous.

My favorite is the opening line from Something Else, because to me it kind of flips the script a bit. The protagonist isn't the first born and that's important, because she's the "else" out of the two of them. This line is also repeated later in the story and it'll be repeated again at another point, because I intended it to sound and be used like the opening of a fairy tale.

Why does no one talk about the conversation in the parking garage in Little Green Men? The entire ep is ship, tbh, but CITG (yeah I gave it an acronym) is basically EVERYTHING yet no one talks about it. We learn they have a secret way of communicating and a secret meeting place. We get the look of joy on Scully's face when she sees Mulder...honestly, it's enough to convince me that Dana Scully fell in love first. We get the beautiful exchange between them...Scully's gentle insistence that it was safe for them to meet and her acknowledgement that she went through their secret code charade just to see if he was alright. We get Mulder admitting that he learned that from her, his need for evidence. And finally, we get that Adorable Hair Ruffle that makes me audibly squeak every time I see it.

Couldn’t decide between short hair or long hair, or the black dress or purple dress. So we went with both.

This is the other uniform to Meiou Academy for the female high schoolers.

Same as Youko, Hinata is 15 here.

Will you be doing the orichalcos episode where Atem loses Yugi, or in this case Youko? I know that’s a long way off but I watched the episode recently I can pictures Atem reacting a lot worse from losing his Light than he did with Yugi. Hope this doesn’t offend or annoy you by asking. I know some people don’t like being asked so if it does just let me know. I happily await the next chapter and I hope things are going well for you two!

We have rough outlines for that arc and what will happen, it’s far enough away that things can change easily. Someone, or many someone’s, will NOT be happy with the situation tho, and that’s excluding Atem.
