Cities of Light - London

Cities of Light - London is the 2nd in a series of UPA symposia focusing on photography, urban life and ‘light’ in European cities. The one-day symposium, Welcome to the Fake: Photography and the Politics of Authenticity takes place in July 2018 at The Photographers Gallery. The event is organised by the UPA - The Urban Photographers Association  in collaboration with CUCR, Goldsmiths, University of London, The Photographers’ Gallery and Openvizor.

Cities of Light - Paris

Cities of Light - Paris is the 1st in a series of UPA symposia focusing on photography, urban life and ‘light’ in European cities. The one-day symposium takes place in May 2018 at the University of Paris V (Sorbonne), followed by two days of workshops in Paris. The events are organised by the UPA - The Urban Photographers Association, in collaboration with CUCR, Goldsmiths, University of London, the University of Paris V (Sorbonne), University of Rennes 2 and Openvizor, with additional participation of the University of West London and the University of London Institute in Paris (ULIP).

I am SaLuSa from Sirius, and happy to be able to give the good news about the Cities of Light. They have been slowly manifesting for quite some time and it will be a wonderful sight when they do. They will attract thousands of visitors but we suspect that initially its appearance will be as you say “dumbed down”. However, the Cities are quite large and there will clearly be enormous interest in them. The authorities will not be allowed to interfere and adequate precautions will be made to give it full protection. Be In Love and Light and know you are blessed to be present on Earth at such an important time.
