RED  LIPS  PART,  an immediate insult at the tip of her tongue,  but she forces herself to pause before vile words can pass.   Mai’s giving her a  second  chance  ( or was it a third or fourth or fifth ?   How many times has Mai excused Azula’s bad behavior before she finally had  enough ?  )   Calling Mai  replaceable  was easy,  but it wasn’t  true.   Even spiraling and pretending she didn’t need anyone was less challenging than confronting the how and why she treats people the way she does.      ❛  You’re right.  ❜     She gives Mai an  unconvincing  smile  ;  nothing about this comes  naturally  to her.      ❛  I’m  —  sorry.  ❜
