For a high price, you can buy one, and it will protect you. But it will not breed, and can be stolen if not taken care of. Who buys from them, scales for potions, guards after something foolish, or simply the glitter of gold?

as someone who's literally just gotten to the part where ned pulled out the ouija board, watching u liveblog adventure zone amnesty soothes my anxiousness as to this story, given I have found no transcripts or actual summaries for the mimic arc

Lol, glad I could help. I mostly do the liveblogs for my own amusement, so it’s nice to know that other people appreciate them, too. 

For the record, the mimic arc is fully transcribed, now, thanks to the hardworking volunteers with TAZscripts.

Oh, and in case this is confusing: we have transcripts listed for episode 1 and episode 1.5.  Those are both the same episode, but 1.5 was edited to cut out a lot of extra stuff, so it’s shorter and more focused on the story.
