BUT IT IS DEKOPON SEASON FINALLY🍊 for all you holed up playing Animal Crossing, fyi perfect oranges in AC are actually dekopon oranges because they’re some of the best citruses you can get since they’re gigantic and extremely juicy with lots of flavor. So if you ever wondered why perfect oranges had a weird ass bump on them that’s why. Dragonfruits are also really healthy for you, they say they have great healing properties and I shit you not on more than one occasion when I ate a dragonfruit after scraping my skin that shit was healed over in like 2 days so that East Asian ancient magic shit works. (The yellow one was way better) Iyokan season started a while back, and iyokan are popular during exam time because not only does it sound similar to “good feeling” but they started growing them in pentagonal shape and calling them goukaku iiyokan, which can mean “to have a good feeling of passing” or “sweet smell of success in exams” depending. The KitKats are really good and have good luck messages on them, which I think a lot of students here need right now that school has been forced to switch platforms due to the current state of affairs. The iyokan jellies are also really interesting, with the orange peel pieces floating around inside looking like little dragon balls. Also right now American KitKats are finally coming in flavors and I grabbed some lemon bags because one of my favorite KitKats ever was the salted lemon limited edition flavor that was sold to raise relief funds for Japan after one of their natural disasters. The Japanese ones are still better quality honestly, but the American ones are good enough and way more easily available right now.
