He paused for a moment, standing against the brick wall of the old city district. Deep in thought, he paid no attention to the world around him. It was a moment of reflection—about how quickly people grow up and how their inner world changes with each passing day. Perhaps he was thinking about his plans for the future, or simply about the day that had passed, about his relationships with friends and loved ones. The silence of the moment hides the storm of thoughts swirling in his mind.

You've got the attentive, caring dad tending to his tot son (who was wearing big neon green sunglasses), followed by the pair of sharply-dressed younger men going about their Saturday. Last nights excursion to the Haunted Hayride

Proved to me that I need to spend as little time in Harlem as possible. As a native I naturally love all parts of NY, but I've never seen a part of this city as consistently struggle-filled as Harlem - more specifically 125th street. The homeless folk, druggies, gay men on the hoe stroll, piss smells.... Smh I also had to tell this man on the bus that he dropped his teeth

Sittin' on the back porch of Muddy Waters' house on S. Lake Park Ave. Or, as a historian called it, "Chicago's REAL 'House of Blues'". Landmarks Illinois placed this property on its 2013 list of endangered places. Well, it's still standing, but the glaring red 'X' on the front makes me nervous. Man taking pictures of his young daughter romping in the sculpture. I absolutely love it when art + people interact in a city. Something like this piece is beautiful and whimsical. No wonder the Urban Land Institute recognized Baltimore's Inner Harbor as "the model for post- industrial waterfront redevelopment around the world". (I had never been to Baltimore until today, when I spontaneously decided to drive up there. Good choice. It was a gorgeous day to meet this fine city.
