A total of 14 beneficiaries from Barangay Cebulano, Carmen, Davao del Norte received their free Certificate of Live Birth printed in Security Paper (SECPA) under the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) today, August 7, 2024.
The awarding was led by Municipal Civil Registrar Officer, Ma'am Charlene Mae C. Suaybaguio, MPA.
The purpose of the BRAP is to increase the level of birth registration, particularly in the marginalized communities such as those belonging to the Indigenous Peoples (IPs), Muslim Filipinos, and the poorest sectors in the country.
The officialdom of Barangay Cebulano under Punong Barangay Jerson Tacmoy vowed for their continued partnership with PSA in ensuring that their constituents fulfill their basic rights in acquiring document to prove their legal identity.
