hey shock, thoughts on batman beyond?

never got really into it because when i was a kid i thought the color schemes were too dark and red and as far as i remember the plot wasn’t something i ever cared for, something about being in the future? but i hated future stuff. though i will admit it has literally one of the most memorable and jarring cinematic sequences of all time in the batman beyond: return of the joker movie… the one with tim drake. i’m still fucked up about that. this one.

I would absolutely kill for a series, comic or otherwise, about the Bat Family. Just all crime fighting done offscreen, focusing on the family life of as many of them as one could feasibly fit in Wayne Manor at one point in time. I want shit like everyone being out of the house but Jason and Alfred and them just having a fucking blast. I'd write it all myself, but I don't have the art skills to back it up and I'd be so sad if it never turned into anything.

Sorry it’s taken me a while to respond but i totally agree. It was my friend who really introduced me into all the batman stuff and we both agree that bruce needs the famjam or he’s just not nearly as interesting a character. Like he’d just be another brooding dude but no he’s this softie who’s adopted like 12 children and is trying his best. It’d be so nice to have a series that finally focused on that aspect batman rather than the GRITTY SUPERHERO WHO’S JUST TOO COOL. batdad or bust

It’s just such basic memetrash, gameplay is alright but that’s because they copied like every other game ever. It’s like 100% regressive to the medium, didn’t do anything new at all, spouted a bunch of fucking old memes, and people ate it up.

Although that post should have an addendum because Anthony works at RocketJump now so I guess he is out of games lol
