Bug of the Day
Not a great photo, but this is the first Cixiid planthopper (Cixius meridionalis, I believe) I’ve ever photographed in the yard, and it’s pretty darned cool. The antennae are so odd - just tiny little filaments (flagella) sticking out of fat blobs (pedicels).
