Something about the end of FIF and that last line has me locked up every time I hear it.

I really like to believe that line is an excerpt from a phonecall Mauve has with Claire. Mauve is busy enjoying his 15 seconds of fame and hasn't seen Claire in a little while, so Claire calls him to ask how he's doing.
