how it feels to try and talk in the cjfs nowadays
CJFS IS AWFUL I SAID IT
Down with cjfs
I don't go here but I got curious so I want to clear something up:
I'm close to some CJFS mods and have seen the mods say (don't remember when or where) why they don't allow the pregnant man emoji to be used:
9 times out of 10, when it gets used in CJFS, it is a punchline. It's "haha pregnant man funny", normally a reaction on announcements or art. It's not common anymore but I've been there for like 2yrs now I saw it come and go
The pregnant man emoji isn't inherently transphobic at all, that's not what the mods take issue with. The problem is making pregnant men into a joke. Trans men getting pregnant genuinely have to deal with fetishisation and lack of resources because no one takes it seriously, people make it a joke. Pregnant trans men lack resources, lack a safe space, lack comfort, because the internet makes a joke of them. It's transphobic to laugh at the concept of a man getting pregnant just because they're a man. It's not transphobic to use the pregnant man emoji if you're not making a joke out of pregnant men/only using it because it's "funny"
I can't speak over non-cis AMAB voices on this matter, but I just wanted to add my 2 cents to this since I have context. This wasn't an attack on anybody, just wanted to try clear the air and hope I achieved that. Have a lovely day :)

I've been in the cjfs for a long time and the only people I've seen banned are dickheads and people doing jash porn so idk what the fuss is about.
.
lmaoo sorry mod for bringing this back up I'm the anon that said it was weird that the mpreg emoji is 'transphobic' (I had a week long needed break from tumblr (this might give me identity away to some people but oh well))
Number one, it's an emoji. No need to get so heated over it. Why don't you call whoever made the emoji transphobic then? Go after them, see where that gets ya
Number two. I'm trans. I identify as a male most of the time while being afab. I see a lot of trans people using the emoji too.
It shouldn't be something to hate on. It should be funny! The trans community doesn't need this toxicity when it's a generally funny thing among the community.
Neither does the chonny jash community.
Also it's funny how you're focusing on that rather than my other points that the cjfs sucks? Pretty ironic I dunno kinda shows how a lot of people blow over the BIG points of argument in this fandom and focus on how ONE person is confused on why an emoji is 'transphobic'.
Anyway. Hi mod you're amazing for running this blog you probably deserve way better than people arguing over emojis 😭
.
as a transmasc fellow, if i were pregnant, i wouldnt be uncomfortable because im trans? id be uncomfortable bc i dont want kids at all
why is this an argument. why dont you just let the individual person decide if they like or dont like the mpreg emoji? stop trying to attack people into agreeing w you lmao, it never works
this is what i think is wrong w the cj fandom, and cjfs in particular; everyone thinks they can just attack each other into agreeing w each other, and thats just. not right. everyone has their opinions, why cant you just be respectful? you dont have to agree to be respectful.
.
i'm neutral on cjfs but the amount of people who defend bigots, people who broke chonny's boundaries, and other bad people like that who were very reasonably banned and says their ban was unwarranted is astounding to me
