I think ☝️we should talk about Mayday more. specially its chorus(+outro), for example!:
Chonny only says “mayday” two times in a row. In normal flight emergency situations, it must be said THREE times, as radio frequencies are shared. If anyone else tries to talk at the same time then the two signals interfere, and nobody hears anything, thus, you’d want priority on ATC if you have an emergency.
And also, to me, “By the time the echoes hit them, it’ll already be too late” can be taken as a double-entendre. First one being the one on Genius,
And the second one being that, in many cases, cries for help can only be “heard” when the worst has happened already.
