...we're almost there!
We have just a few more days left of our "35 Days of Karateverse" countdown. The last day, Sunday October 12th, being the day of our LONG awaited ceremony.
This day has been several years in the making in fact and we've under gone quite a few ups and downs. The long wait between Season 2 and 3, the move to Netflix bring a bigger budget and more fun public events and BTS stuff.
Do you remember the first time you found the Quiver?
Was it sharing fanart, screenshots and gif sets here on Tumblr, having long and in depth convos about character study, digging up every little detail to back up your headcanons as well as figuring out some new ones?
Maybe reading fanfic on FF.net and Ao3, commenting and theorizing on authors stories?
Was it chatting with like minded fans as well as arguing with the annoying Cobros on Facebook or Twitter?
Maybe it was on YouTube in the early days, when we were so small that we were starving for content rewatching all ten episodes and the same beautiful fanvids over and over, whilst scouring the net for all the hot BTS goss, looking for any small detail about a new filming date.
I know many of you were probably just looking for something to watch while we were all stuck at home and were soaking it all in all at once. You lucky Jerks! ;P
We've come a long way since that first ceremony as well.
As you've seen with the countdown, we weren't all that big back in the day. There were only 17 Categories, 10 winning stories and a hand full of staff. Since then, we've added some more, and then some more, spilt some into their own Categories, and even added some more, then downsized there for a minute (just a little bit). At the most, we had 61 Categories and 57 winning stories.
Putting all of this together is definitely a labor of fandom love. I'd like to thank all our staff, past and present, for the hours hard work they've put in year after year.
All our List Makers that gathered all the eligible stories into spreadsheets over several months before we even started announcing things every year.
Our Pollers that make up the polls, keep track of ALL THE ENTRIES and do their damnedest to make sure it stays as fair as possible and no one is trying to find any loopholes to our vote once a category policy.

Thank you, Empi, for coming up with such a great way to show all our love for our favorite stories and authors, as well as showcasing some of our great artists!!! It really has been so fun! A Lot of Work, but so worthwhile!
