I have been updating a Cobra Kai Kai, vampire fanfic that I started in 2024 and I am so close to finishing it. Chapter 16 is up but total chapter count is now up to 26! I am gonna update every few days. It has been really nice to get stuck into this one and feel really bad about how long it took me to pick it up again.

OK, am I the only one who thinks it's weird that the solution to the episode Fragile Balance is that teenage Jake is going to go to high school, and in that scene he actually looks at a load of high school girls and is like, yeah, sounds like fun. I mean, he is still mentally a 50-year-old man. It always kind of gives me the ick, and I'm surprised that no one thought it was weird when writing it.

That is why I love the SG1 novella Behind Enemy Lines. Set ten years after that episode, we find out the teenage Jack did not have an easy time of it when effectively abandoned by everyone and everything he knew and became something of a juvenile delinquent. Because that makes far more sense to me.
