GIVING TUESDAY FOR CAMP KESEM
Kesem (n): magic; ability to change a life; an agent of growth; the unique power that transforms kids into Camp Kesem Campers.🐛💙 Hi there! ‘Tis time to start the season of giving! On Tuesday, November 28 GivingTuesday will be taking place! What is Giving Tuesday?- Giving Tuesday is an international day of giving. While any and all donations are always welcome, during the rest of the year fundraising pages (ex. GoFundMe, Classy, etc.) take 10% of the donation as a fee. By donating on Giving Tuesday you are ensuring that 100% of the donation goes to Camp Kesem! Though this may not seem like much, it can make a huge difference in our final fundraising total and even greater difference to our kids! Who am I?- My name is Bryanna "Sunflower" Walker🌻 (Sunflower being my camp name at Camp Kesem) I am the Co-Operations Coordinator for Carnegie Mellon University’s Camp Kesem chapter. I have been part of the Camp Kesem family since my freshman year, making this my second year. I had the privilege of going to camp as a counselor last year and I can, without a doubt, tell you it is the most incredible and most magical experience I have ever had! I am truly blessed to be part of the Kesem family and a proud member of this incredible organization. My life has been blessed so much from not only my fellow counselors and CK volunteers but most especially from the children! They along with their families are an inspiration to everyone and it is truly an honor for me to do whatever I can to spread some love, joy and magic into their lives. What is Camp Kesem?- Camp Kesem is a nationwide community that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer. For every child who attends, Camp Kesem is 100% free of charge. My mission: My mission is to raise $2000. These children and families mean the world to me and the more money we raise, the more children we can have at camp!
