Clairvoyant Miscommunication
@punishmentismyjob Drusilla was waiting out the day in Lucifer's penthouse when his mother arrived. She was very excited to meet the Goddess of all Creation though she wished she was in something better than a nightgown. She was so excited that she didn't realize that the feeling wasn't mutual or appreciated. The Goddess wanted answers from her regarding Lucifer. Drusilla politely explained, as best she could, that she couldn't answer her questions because she didn't have the answers. She didn't tell her that she wouldn't have given her the answers anyhow because she was loyal to the woman's son. She hadn't meant to displease the Goddess with her refusal. When the Goddess grabbed her arm and insisted that Drusilla find the answers, the vampire was very confused. Her Sight was powerful and she used it a lot to help her survive, but she could not demand answers from the stars. The Goddess was further displeased. Drusilla wasn't sure if the other woman thought she was simply lying or unwilling to search for the information. All she knew was that the Goddess would only stop hurting her when she gave the answers she wanted. Drusilla could have withstood the cuts. The knives and broken bottles with alcohol still clinging to their shards were painful, but manageable. It wasn't until the Goddess saw her back away from the sunlight that she started to fear what would happen to her. Drusilla was strong, even for a vampire, but she was defenseless against the goddess. She screamed when her hand was held in the sunlight. She tried to fight as she watched it catch on fire. She agreed to help the woman when she knew that was the only way she would be allowed to extinguish her arm. Drusilla still didn't know all of the answers, but while she was held at the edge of sunlight she told what she knew as clearly as she could. Tears flowed as she did so. She didn't want to betray Lucifer, but she couldn't withstand the sunlight. When she'd told all she knew, the Goddess wasn't pleased, but she wasn't as angry anymore. Perhaps that's why she threw her into the shelf of bottles behind the bar instead of through the window. She wanted to stop the woman from leaving, but instead she stayed curled up in her pile of broken bottles and spilled alcohol. She hoped Lucifer would forgive her.
