"Where is she?" Owen snapped, looking over the screens in front of them "I don't." Lowrey started. "Don't give me I don't know, tell me where the fuck she is." "Owen, calm down." Claire said, holding her hands out. "No, I will not calm down." "Owen!" Kristina said, stepping in front of her girlfriend. "You getting mad at us isn't going to do any good, now you need to calm down so we can talk reasonably about this." Owen's nostrils flared for a moment, but he took a deep breath and nodded slowly, running his fingers through his hair. "You're right. You're right." "Thank you." Kris said. "Ok, so what do we know?" "The last time any one saw her in person was 5 days ago." Lowrey said, messing with a few buttons before a video started playing. "And this is the last time that she was recorded." Kristina said, rubbing her arms. The vidoe showed Kristen in the Rex enclosure, playing with the boys and hugging them good bye before she left through the exit. "There is the one of her getting on her bike and heading north, but then we haven't caught her on any of the other cameras." Claire said. "And her phone is off." Lowrey added. "What about her tracking bracelet?" Owen asked. "It was found in the Mosasaurus arena. Under one of the seats." Kris answered, playing with her own. It was a new rule, that each employee was to wear some form of tracking system, whether it was a bracelet, necklace or something like that. The rule was brought into effect after a scare a while ago, that involved a missing enclosure cleaner. He was found later in the day, sleeping on the job and was promptly fired. But the scare that he was somehow attacked, was real, so they started the requirement of the trackers. They were only turned on when there was a problem, however, so the employee's privacy wasn't infringed on. "And that was a dead end, trying to see if there was anything suspicious. Since by the time we turned it on and found it, thousands of people went through there." Lowrey said. "Yea. Fuck. And all shuttles off the island were checked?" He asked. "Yep, they always are xrayed and checked throughly, incase someone happened to get ahold of an egg. A mistake we can't afford, after the last time when one almost made it to the homeland." Clair answered. "So what's are next move?" "We send out the search squad." Kristina answered, holding up Poppy, who was resting in her arms. "Ok." ~*~ "What are you hoping to accomplish?" Kristen snapped, spitting blood at Hoskins, who jumped out of the way. "You know what I'm trying to do. Make your boyfriend prove that he has total control over those raptors are ready. That they could be the ultimate weapon, because they will listen to him." He smiled, as he opened up another cut on her, bound, arm. "It's not going to happen, he knows they can't be out in the field like that." "He'll get desparate, looking all over for you. Never thinking to look here." He smiled, motioning to the vine overgrown room. "You are one sick fucker." She cursed as he made another shallow cut on her leg. "It will be very worth it, you'll see. When we are the most powerfull country in the world, you'll thank me." "When Owen finds you, he's going to kill you." Hoskins just smiled again, punching her across the jaw. ~*~ "It's ok, you guys did the best you could." Owen said, petting Cas who was chirping sadly. "We'll find her, you'll see." Claire comforted Poppy, Kristina doing the same to Balth. They searched for hours, but none of the compys were able to pick up the scent of the missing girl. All of the mini dino's were tired and so were the humans, so they gave up. "What do we do now?" Kris asked. "I don't know, because I can't risk bringing out my pack. It's too much of a danger to, not only you guys, but we would have to put the island on lock down. And that's not even 100 percent." Owen sighed, hugging Cas, who nuzzled his neck. The two girls nodded along with Lowrey, who had a few of the other compys around him, the rest of them scattered around them. "Fuck. It would take too long to scour the entire island." Owen sighed, thunking his head against the wall. "We could try bringing in blood hounds, but even that would take too long." Kris joined his sigh. "And that would be our last option, it's not like we have any other trackers on the island." Clair pointed out. "Wait!" Owen said, sitting up straight. ~*~ "Don't you fucking touch me." Kristen cried, trying to move as much away from him as she could. "Now obviously you aren't exposed enough, this should fix it." Hoskins said, pinning her against the wall, using a knife to cut off her pants. "You sick fuck." She said, whimpering as he did the same to her shirt, leaving her in her bra and panties. "Shhhh, no need to be so rude. I'm doing this for the greater good." "No wonder you were fired." "I decided to leave, you bitch." He yelled, back handing her. ~*~ "Are you crazy?" Kristina asked, following Owen who was walking with a purpose. "I must be, but there isn't any other way." He said, swallowing hard. Kristina tried to say a few more things, but eventually gave up, handing over Kristens hoodie to the man, hoping that this would work. Owen got to his destination, swallowing hard once again, but nodded at the gate keeper, before the door opened. Walking in, it closed behind him as he moved into the clearing that was by the door. He couldn't hear much, but he knew how to call. Taking a few deep breaths, he licked his lips before letting out three whistles. It was quiet for another few long moments before the ground started shaking, and a moment later, two rex's were in the clearing with him. The two looked at him with a odd look, making Owen turn a little white, but he needed to do this. "Gabe. Gad. Your mom is missing." He called out, holding out his hands, the hoodie on one of them. The two let out roars, but didn't move, just kept watching him. "She needs you, needs you to find her." He tried to hold still as they came closer, both clicking their jaws together, stopping close to him. As they bent down, Owen was shaking but the two just took deep breaths of the clothing in his hand, before standing up again. They both let out roars, before stepping up the the gate that was big enough for them, before looking at Owen expectantly. "Lets do this." ~*~ "They aren't coming, you have to know that." Kristen said, as Hoskins tied her to a post outside of the old main building. "They are, they have to be. They wouldn't just leave you to die, would they? Maybe they would." Hoskins continued to mumble to himself about that as Kristen tried not to think that herself. She had been doing her best to keep her head up, but it was getting hard the more days that went by. It wasn't a lie that she was loved, but it was getting harder to think that anyone was coming to save her. "Soon, soon it will be seen that the raptors can do anything, you'll see." He continued to mumble as he made sure her arms were bleeding. Kristen did her best to tune him out, no matter how hard it was getting, when she noticed the puddle a few feet in front of her. It was a pretty still day, yet the puddle was rippling softly. For a moment, it didn't make much sense, that was until she felt the earth shake. "He didn't." She gasped softly, scanning the tree line. "What did you say?" He snapped, coming around the front of her. "You're in trouble." She smiled, cursing as he punched her again, yet the smile didn't leave her face. "What the fuck are you....." He trailed off as the air was suddenly alive with roars, coming from both sides of them. "Fuck." "You're in trouble." She sing songed as the sound of motercyles and 4 wheelers were heard. "No, no. It was supposed to be the .... the raptors." He said, backing up as Gabe broke through the trees, to the right. Kristen licked her lips, letting out a loud whistle as Hoskins tried to run away from Gabe, and right into Gad. The later Rex bumped him hard with his nose, sending him flying to the ground, where he tried to crawl before Gabe stepped on his legs. His scream was drowed out as the group burst through the trees as well. "Kristen!" Owen called, hopping off his bike when he was close enough, running over to her. "I knew you would come." She smiled, blood still streaming from her split lip. "Oh Kris." Kristina gasped, as her and Claire pulled up, jumping off their 4 wheelers and coming over, stopping and looking at the man who was still screaming at the weight Gabe was putting on him. "Hoskins?" Claire gasped, causing Owen to look away from Kristen and to the male. "You fucker." He growled. "He wanted to prove your raptors were ready." Kristen coughed, looking over at him. "What should we do with him?" Claire asked. "Look away." Kristen said. "Are you?" "Look away." The three listened, Hoskins' panic rising as the three looked away, Kristen letting out an eerie whistle. The crunch of the bones and the sound of the blood falling to the ground as the two ripped apart the male. After the noise was done, the two came close, nudging at Kristen, who leaned her head on Gabes nose. "I'm ok, I'm ok. You found me." She said softly. Owen stepped forward, reaching around her and undoing the ropes that were cutting into her wrists, letting it fall to the ground. As soon as it was undone, she fell forward into his arms, him manuvering her easily, so he could pick her up. "Lets get you home." ~*~ "Are you sure they're doing ok?" Kristen asked, her left hand petting Cas, the other holding Poppy and B to her chest. "They are fine, Owens with them right now." Kristina answered. "Really?" "Mhm. They're listening to him a lot better now. After he got them to come find you." "I can't wait to be back out there." Kristen sighed. "I know. But don't worry, they aren't showing any adverse effects of having tasted human blood." "That was my worry, even though I could tell they didn't want me to come in here." "They didn't, but they still let me put them away." Owen said, showing up at the doorway. "Hey you." Kristen smiled. "And that's my cue, feel better babe." Kristina said, kissing Kristens forehead. "I'm going to try." She smiled, watching her go, Owen taking her seat. "How are you feeling?" He asked, leaning in for a kiss. "A lot better, though I still wish I could get back to work, I hate sitting around all day." "I know you do. But you need to heal." "I know, I know," She faked sighed. "I'm proud of you, you know." "Because I saved you?" "Because you faced your fears to save me. And didn't try and put any one in danger by falling into his plan." "I couldn't risk it, not when you could of been hurt too." "I know. And I'm very proud of you." She smiled. He returned the smile and leaned in for another kiss.
