doodle dump!! first is Fronds, a quiet plant tender; then there’s a quick doodle of Salve, a talented warrior; and lastly, we have a simple map I drew up of my clan’s territory. I’d like to do more detailed backgrounds soon, but had to get the general layout of my clan on paper first. I love lore, so if you have any questions or curiosity about my map or any places on it, feel free to ask !!

crop of my work-in-progress clan map, went and figured out some of the outlying settlements and some names!

aside from the main town of sunstone keep (primarily inhabited by dragons) there are six smaller villages inhabited by groups of the six aldar* races: shellshallow (maren, extends further off-coast), brightleaf (longneck), blackfeather (talonok), galecarve (harpy), silversand (centaur), and mirrorscale (serthis, most recent). for now i’m naming them after the six tribes that inhabit them unless i can think of something better.

there are also for now 4 named rivers (still unsure on the rest): eldrelleis (”old river”, home to an ancient river spirit), bisrelleis (”new river”, a recent arcane creation), and the gilded and argent (silver) run which split off from a greater river i have yet to name either (juggling something either electrum- or platinum-related in my head right now). the 8 or so lakes/swamps still need names.

and last-but-not-least, ashmother’s rest is the volcano on the island, owing it’s name to the legend that while creating the world the flamecaller got tired and rested for a moment in this spot. other mountains and highlands still need names too~

still lots of naming to be done but i love doing that lol

Despite being the newest addition to the area, Whisper Clan has marked out a large territory for themselves. They are more used to Twolegs than the other clans so their presence rarely impedes them. Their territory is a bit swampy.

Lynxclan has the biggest territory, having claimed the majority of the foothills of the mountains. Despite this their southern border is the most patrolled, not only because of Whisper Clan but also because that is their only access to the lake. Their territory has a great mix of vegetation and provides ample hiding places.

Deerclan have the smallest territory, in part thanks to their clan being quite small. However this doesn’t mean they’re weak - their territory is quite hilly, which they use to their advantage in fights.

Bearclan has arguably the second biggest territory, though they only frequent about half of it thanks to the expansion of Twoleg campsites. In an effort to push back they’ve expanded a bit beyond the creek in search of more hunting grounds. Their territory is rocky with lots of packed ground and tree stumps.
