Blue Steel (1990, dir. Kathryn Bigelow)
John Danzinger after realizing his kid disobeyed/snuck off from camp to see a banished murderer after he told her to stay away
"I will talk to you once I simmer down."
MY fucking god what I wouldn't give if my parents knew how to do this--take a minute to reactivate your prefrontal cortex before electing to just scream out of your amygdala
yeah he's got some blind spots for sure with parenting but like in the grand scheme of things this man is gold
makin me reflect on how often my parents thought screaming at me would somehow fix the situation, how they weren't able to perceive their emotional disregulation to give themselves distance and space to process their own emotions so everything was an intense confrontation of learning that if I fuck up I am responsible for their emotional outbursts... gross
what a fuckin strut
If you don’t know there is a trampoline in the room, you’re not going to dust the ceiling for prints
I can't even
resolution aside this man is fuckin gorgeous I'm actually pissed
who the fuck does he think he is lookin like that young and old, just insanity right here I say
