I went through a bit of a hyperfixation when the new game came out and recently finished these sketches for a human au Ratchet and Clack. Ratchet is in his early 20s and Clank is about 16.
I have vague ideas for how different plot points of the games pan out but nothing concrete. I did a good amount of research for Clank tho. I wanted something mechanical about him and with my research into pacemakers and such I found out that there’s a procedure for different brain related diseases that’s been used some for chronic pain. It been a bit since I read it all but from what I remember it’s interesting. It doesn’t make the pain go away completely which is why Ratchet is giving him a piggy back ride in that corner sketch.
