yk… the more i think about it the more the little “larry is clarence time travelled from the future” theory makes sense. you know those 2 scenes people bring up about the timeline not making sense - the one where in classroom, when jeff checks his schedule book, he flips past a page talking about a plan to make a rocket. this seems normal, but what makes it odd is that the episode where they need to make rockets for a school project (space race) comes a mere few episodes after that one. and in slumber party, when sumo brings up the deviled eggs incident, despite that happening way later in season 1. im just saying, do you guys think the answer to these two “plot holes” is that larry is clarence from the future, and that he’s told them about these things happening. you might think, oh but sumo and jeff don’t know larry. well, maybe sumo met larry before neighbourhood grill (his debut episode). and ice cream hunt (the episode where both him and jeff meet larry seemingly for the first time on screen) takes place BEFORE the rocket schedule moment in classroom, which means that after that experience jeff could’ve began to trust him. this is further supported by the little exchange larry and jeff have at the end of ice cream hunt, which is jeff taking note (pun intended but only its funny. if you didn’t find it funny i didn’t say anything guys) of how larry writes down every single fact and detail he knows, which can be seen as jeff gaining a sort of respect for him.
